Icart Blue

Painting from Icart looking across towards Petit Bot, Guernsey.

I did this art piece en plein air on a strongly blue day. Although there was a lot of swell coming in, the water was very turquoise and the gorse was out. Higher up there were some other flowers, and I thought the yellow worked well against the blues. I used to go jumping off rocks at Jaonnet with my friends, and that connection with childhood memories all come flooding back when creating the artwork.
