I got the incredible honour to illustrate a new set of postage stamps for Alderney, released in tandem with the puffins migrating back to nest on Burhou.

Burhou is an island off Alderney. It is considered a safe breeding ground for puffins from March to August thanks to Alderney Wildlife Trust who work alongside the States of Alderney to ensure the site is protected.

For me personally it’s crazy to think I have artwork on both Guernsey and Alderney stamps. The island holds a special place in my heart as it’s where I got engaged to Ingrid! Plus I’ve visited many times and made some great friends on that fair isle.

To top it all off the artwork had to go to Buckingham Palace for the King’s approval! What an experience.
