Globe trotters Fiona and Quentin contacted us via The Chateau Bee. Their mission; for us to find their perfect wedding venue in France, design and craft the styling and invitations and plan the 3 day event for 180 guests! The result was an epic wedding at Chateau de la Flocelliere in the Loire Valley.
Although based in California, Fiona and Quentin spent a lot of time apart in different parts of the world due to their work and studies, so a wanderlust themed wedding was the perfect match for them.
I crafted illustrations of them as birds for the front of their wanderlust wedding invitations. Those birds continued throughout their wedding with the order of service, table plans, menus, even personalised brioche buns!
On top of that was all the wedding decoration, signs, wanderlust props (vintage suitcases, world globes, boating hats etc.) We somehow managed to fit everything into our little Fiat 500, catch the ferry from Guernsey to St Malo and rocket it down to the venue in the Loire Valley, France.
Ingrid and James straightaway got what we wanted and delivered the wedding we were hoping for: joyful, friendly, pretty, spontaneous, dynamic…
Fiona & Quentin (California)
This turned into a fantastic affair, we recruited top French photographer, Sebastien Boudot, superb wedding cinematographer Moonriver, Florist: l’Atelier de Brice, cocktail wizards, Aperitif and Walko, a 15 member afro funk band. All of it was keenly orchestrated by my wedding planning wife, Ingrid …Epic!
Everything is perfect with Ingrid and James and I look forward to seeing them again in our chateau.
